Cry Monster Cry - The Fallen

With harmonies to make the Head and the Heart jealous, Cry Monster Cry has really set themselves up for success with their first EP: The Fallen. I wish I could sit down at my local pub every Friday night and listen to this traditional folk duo of two Irish brothers. They craft an atmospheric folk that you want to sing along with before you even know the words. This is the first band that approached us on tumblr that at least one of us have really latched on to. Artist submissions are open but there are some guidelines.

After checking out their title track from their E.P. which is available for free download on Soundcloud right now, I discovered the rest of their tracks on Spotify. I’ve listened to their debut EP several times over and sometimes even back-to-back. If you’re a sucker for harmonies like I am there’s nothing better than brotherly harmonies. I chose The Fallen because it was enough to get me hooked and I hope it’ll do the same for you.

Their physical EP is currently only available in Ireland but you can download it on iTunes. Or you can find out more about them on their tumblr but If you really want to meet them, you’ll read the interview below where they talk about their history, hopes for the future and their bond as brothers.
